What is EverMind
EverMind makes psychotherapy affordable, flexible and culturally sensitive. Our mission is to allow anyone to access the support they need so they can live a happier and healthier life.
EverMind brings highly qualified psychotherapists from the emerging nations to those in need via a secure video chat platform.
EverMind is unique because our psychotherapists offer services in various, and often, multiple languages. Also, as our psychotherapists are based all over the world and in different zones, you can access therapist sessions at a time that suits you.
What can EverMind help me with?
Our highly qualified psychotherapists specialise in many different areas of mental health, for example:
- Eating Disorders
- Trauma & PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)
- LGBT Issues
- Relationships (Family or Friends)
- Self development
Who will I be talking to?
EverMind therapists are based all over the world in countries including India, Ghana, Chile, Jamaica, Romania, Pakistan, Nigeria, Sri Lanka and more.
All EverMind therapists have been carefully vetted and trained to use EverMind. We do not use interns or therapists who are not fully qualified.
EverMind therapists have additional training in specific approaches to therapy which include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Existential-Humanistic, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic, Mindfulness and more.
How does EverMind vet their therapists?
EverMind has a thorough vetting process based on the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) guidelines, and extended to incorporate global values.
All qualifications, experience and registrations are carefully scrutinised for validity and each therapist is contacted directly by the EverMind team so we make sure we get to know our therapists.
Like you, and our therapists, we have high standards at EverMind. Only the best will do!
How do I choose a psychotherapist?
We believe you should choose the psychotherapist that is right for you. So on the platform you will find a video introduction from each therapist so you can get a sense of their "vibe" and decide if this is the right person for you.
To begin, you should search for a therapist by language, location, or therapy style, or personal issue, then view the available psychotherapists' video introductions. Once you find the ideal therapists you can book your first session.
How do I book my first session?
After you have watched a video introduction and decided the right psychotherapist for you, you can then view the theorists availability and book a time slot that suits you. You will be asked to enter your bank details and pay for the session then.
How much does EverMind cost?
EverMind offers low cost psychotherapy with a Fairtrade ethos. This means each therapist can set their own price starting at £40 for the "therapist hour" 50mins.
How do I book my next session?
During your first session, your psychotherapist will advise when it will be best to speak again. Then after the call you can book in another session, accessing the psychotherapists calendar again and making another booking.
Can video therapy substitute for traditional face-to-face therapy?
EverMind does not aim to replace traditional in person psychotherapy sessions, yet we offer a viable alternative solution for when the traditional set up is either unavailable, or preferred by clients who prefer to receive treatment in the comfort of their own home, from therapists in different locations.
How will I connect with my therapist?
You can select the therapist you would like to work with via their profile on the website and book a session with them. You will then receive an email confirmation and an invite to the session that will be held on the video platform Zoom. You will need a Zoom account for your therapy sessions.
How will the sessions remain private and confidential?
EverMind respects your right to privacy.
We will collect personal information from you only where we have your consent to do so, where we need the personal information to perform a contract with you, or where the processing is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by your data protection interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information that we collect and process about you. The measures we use are designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risk of processing your personal information.
